Specifics of Starcos Cards in the GITRIX System
Starcos cards from I.CA are a long-proven standard on the Czech market, especially in public administration and banking. Within our platform, we offer specific functions for their effective operation:
- Certification Authority Support: Full integration for issuance and management of I.CA certificates, as well as support for generating your own internal certificates.
- Flexible HW Configuration: A unique advantage is the possibility of supplying cards with two contactless chips (EM4200 and MIFARE DESFire). One card thus serves for both digital identity and physical access to buildings or printers.
- Security PIN Management: Unlike other platforms that allow a full reset, for Starcos cards we focus on the manufacturer’s security standard. Our platform allows administrators to increase the number of PIN entry attempts after secure user verification.
- Lifecycle according to eIDAS: Please note that for security reasons, Starcos cards do not support a full reset to factory settings (recycling) for a new user in eIDAS mode. They are therefore ideal for long-term assignment to one specific holder.
